Pumps, Heaters, and Pool Supplies
Swimming
pools are one of the best ways to enjoy those hot summer days. There
are just some days that are so hot that it is uncomfortable to be outside
in the air, but it is also too beautiful to be spent inside an air conditioned
house. It’s a conundrum that can most easily be remedied with
a cool swimming pool.
While public pools are often the most elaborate, many have a pool slide and other aquatic features, but most do not allow outside pool toys or swimming pool accessories because of the dangers they can pose. A lot of floating and sinking toys cluttering up a pool con impair the lifeguard’s vision of people in the water. A swimmer could be struggling for life but is blocked from the lifeguard’s point of view by an inflatable raft. Pool toys also provide a false sense of safety to beginner swimmers. They can easily fall of their floating toy into deep water which poses a threat. Water wings are especially dangerous, they can slip down the swimmers arm submerging their head.
Pool safety should always be taken into consideration no matter what type of pool is being used, either above ground or in ground. Both pools have advantages and disadvantages. An in ground pool is more difficult to install, but once built they are easier to maintain. They are also more visually pleasing with the pool pumps and pool filter hidden from view. In-ground pools can be more dangerous however, pets and children can easily fall into the pool. This can be prevented with a sturdy pool cover.
An above ground pool requires climbing in which makes it safer but the pool is much more exposed. All the pool supplies are exposed and these pools are rarely beautiful but they are quite fun. Many are also temporary so they can be set up in the spring and then taken down for the winter allowing the most use out of backyard. Heating the pool can be done with solar pool heaters mounted on the roof of a house, or with traditional gas fired heaters.
No matter what type of pool is used, public, private, in-ground or above-ground they all require pool cleaners to be safe for swimming. There is a fine line for pool chemistry. The water has to be able to kill dangerous pathogens, bacteria and other contaminants while still being safe to swim in. Special care should be taken to get the pool chemicals exactly right for the size of pool.
Once the pool is ready it is time to play some pool games. There are many games, and many more invented everyday a creative swimmer uses a pool.
